In our last visit to Japan, we could ride the latest model of the Marunouchi line.

The planed promoter of the Tokyo Metro during the Tokyo Olympics in 2020?!

Japan is known to be a high tech country, but the CBTC system is still not being used in the Tokyo subway (starting in 2022).

One of the reasons for introducing this model was the Olympics. It was made to show the new charm of the Tokyo metro to international tourists. Surely, this model has more charm; for example, the design, the material of the body etc., this train may be uninteresting for people from countries where the CBTC system is already in use.
